RAUM LEATHER EARTHING SHOES WITH COPPER

With a mission to “connect people back to mother earth,” California-based Raum Goods offers thoughtfully designed, well-made, eco-friendly shoes designed to mimic the experience of going barefoot....but with greater comfort.

Raum’s leather slip-on and lace-up grounding shoes and grounding sandals are:

  • 100% made from all-natural, sustainable materials, all of which (except the Mali Mudcloth line) are locally sourced.

  • Grounded via genuine copper rivets and all-leather soles.

  • Minimalist / barefoot design with zero-drop soles (no arch support) and natural leather uppers (no internal structures); most styles also feature roomy toe boxes.

  • Handcrafted by skilled artisans in Turkey

  • Shipped in sustainable packaging - recycled and recyclable boxes or reusable linen bags.

To further walk their talk, Raum also donates 1% of their annual sales to various nonprofits and charities with similar eco-friendly values.

Did you know that over 200 steps go into the meticulous crafting of Raum’s grounding shoes? We can point out all the things we appreciate about these shoes, but this video really paints a better picture. It’s really an amazing process!

Note: All Raum shoes have leather outer soles, without tread or traction, so slippage may occur. Also, because the soles and uppers are predominantly made of leather, Raum grounding shoes are best for dry weather conductions.

HOW DO RAUM SHOES GROUND YOU?

All Raum Earthing shoes ground you in the same way: via naturally conductive leather soles augmented with highly-conductive copper rivets.

Both copper and leather allow Earth’s natural energy to pass from the ground into the feet and become even more conductive when the feet sweat.

Hand-hammered through the soles, the copper rivets are also strategically positioned to activate the KD 1 acupuncture points of the feet. It’s simple, yet innovative grounding technology using timeless materials and construction.

Natural sheepskin-lined smooth, leather uppers are hand-sewn with copper-enhanced, water buffalo soles to create simple elegance and ease of attiring.

Greater comfort comes with wear, as the conductive leather soles become smoother and the uppers mold to the feet. Three styles available for women.

OUR TEAM’S THOUGHTS - RAUM GROUNDING SHOE REVIEWS

“Verrrrry nice & comfy shoes - my first pair of slides and I love them! In just 2-3 days of wear, the soft leather uppers have broken in and contain my feet with just the right amount of resistance. And the leather inner soles are also becoming smoother. It took my toes a few days to get used to the feel of the cotton waxed thread at the top of the inner soles.

Also, because the outer soles are also leather, I'm wary of slipping, but have yet to lose my footing in them - so far so good! These shoes are definitely best for dry conditions, as high quality leather is prone to water damage. Walking the line between elegant and casual, they’re charming additions to a warm-weather wardrobe.
